Revolutionz Launched !

In case u're wondering what the title means...
Here's presenting the reason for sleepless nights, tiring days and my hibernation these past few weeks......my in-house summer project!
Well its kinda like a music site, wherein we maintain a database of Albums (based on language: Hindi or English and format: CD or Cassette) in MS Access and do our server side scriping in ASP (Active Server Pages for the uninitiated)
I have my final presentation in the morning, just a few hours from now...and thats exactly what i've embedded below
Plz view the slideshow, so that you understand what we made and then you can go and check the site (or whatever lil functionalities we managed to pull together) in action...I just uploaded on a free hosting site supporting ASP, the url's given below.

You'll only be able to use the user section of the site coz i'm the admin of course :P, but just leave in your honest comments here...i would appreciate that a lot.
Click here to get to Revolutionz Music
Thanks a ton all u guys
Love Vands

Honestly, the backend and implementation details look great. If you have time then I'd advise you to change the UI a bit --- black doesn't really make it so attractive. You need to hook the user into the page.

Fleeting Thought & Complicated Truth

Image
This is just something i scribbled on my notes at 3:03am this morning... I can handle the distance when you're far away But I can't handle the distance when you're right here! And I notice that I confused quite a few people with my last post and not many of them are clear with my current housing situation and plans for the near future so here's exactly how it is... I live with my parents in a two bedroom flat in Delhi; this house has been screaming for renovation for years now since its a very old construction and we own a lotta clutter...{old stuff belonging to my dad, bro and sis} that we haven't gotten rid of. The past year and a half our new house was getting built, say about an hour and a half {maybe two} from here. It was finally done up and ready to move into in January My bro got married last year in October and my sis in law is coming to India in April end for her exams. We needed to have moved to our new place before she came here, for obvious reasons... a...

Random Update & Artwork

Hmmm so my exams ended and I was supposed to be free these past two weeks but i really wasn't. My sis in law was here and we were rarely at home, she had to meet so many relatives before goin back to the US. Anyways now that she's gone and a post has been due for longgg I'd better not delay it any further. I don't have anything super exciting to write about except that I'm gonna be starting my project training (first tryst with 'work') this Monday and I'm hopin I'll enjoy myself and feel productive at the same time. Besides that I've been listenin to pretty much the same songs since the beginning of the month... now with my playlist being extended to include loads of old Rafi songs and quite a few by Paolo Nutini {Bubbles' recommendation :)} And this month had birthdays of some really special ppl and some new frnds, Bubbles and Zahid on 12th, Pratham on 15th, Ankur on 17th and Supriya (my school frnd) who has her birthday tomorrow on the ...

Dreaming…Eyes wide open

Image
As the title suggests this is one of my dreams which I see with my eyes wide open… I was tagged by Maverick long long ago and I thought this could be used as an answer to his “ Reveal your dream ” tag. Even though I dream a lot, I managed to say this out loud only days ago pretty much to my surprise as well :) We were talking about one of his friends getting married and that’s how I ended up talking so much. Well just so you know, I wouldn't mind marrying an undergraduate… Wouldn't mind stayin in Mumbai… Would even learn to talk in Marathi, thodi bahut kaam chalau types till I learn the entire language… Wouldn't mind cooking for you… Wouldn't mind wearing a saree a lot more often than I had planned on... just coz you like it :) … And honey you won’t have to worry about your backache…I'll be there to rub iodex on it. Will iron and give you your clothes every morning… Roz chai banaungi...main chai acchi banati hoon :), haan aur kabhi kabhi coffee bhi banaungi… Will r...
