Beauty comes from within!
I just happened to watch the last part of this episode of Oprah on the telly today and i just wanted to share it with u guys.
Oprah had shown a story abt this woman who was set on fire by her abusive husband.....it just was amazing lookin at the amount of courage she had coz even after what she had gone through ...she still chose not to say anything bad abt her husband.
When asked by Oprah whether she believed him when even after he'd hurt her or beat her, he wud say that he loved her....she said she didn't really believe him, she knew something was wrong...but she knew it was not her fault.
Then after Oprah conveyed to the audience Yvette's husband Roger's attorney had declined on his behalf the offer to participate in the show...she asked Yvette: "Would u like to say anything to him, if anything?"
Yvette said and I quote
That I thought was an extremely nice thing to say...
Besides that they talked abt five signs which tell u that u're in an abusive relationship... they we're behavioural signs on parts of the man:

- Jealousy [often believed to be a sign of love, it is actually a sign of possesiveness which can turn bad]
- Controlling Behaviour [keepin note of what u eat, where u go, what u wear, who u meet, where u spend ur money all indicate controlling behaviour]
- Verbal Abuse [degrading who u are as a person....it really goes a long way]
- Threatening to hurt ur family member or ur pet
- Isolation [this is the most dangerous of them all, coz all sometimes u really need to do is talk to someone and being deprived of that really makes it all the more worse]
Oh and one thing Oprah said towards the end of the show really touched me.... she said to Yvette:
It is very easy for all of us, people who haven't been through what u have,
to say that beauty comes from within.....but I really applaud you today coz u are a living example.
Truly beauty comes from within...

waise it wasnt that she didnt speak up against her husband....it was more like sometimes u just dont wanna believe that somethings terribly wrong .... in ur life!!
and her husband was in jail.

i just had to write it, it made me think ... and yeah primarily the line.
there was also another thing i prolly forgot to mention...
oprah had said that u are warned or informed abt everything in ur life...its first a small whisper from God, u dont listen to that then it becomes a problem, u dont sort that out then it becomes a crisis and then again if u don't resolve the crisis it turns into a blown up disaster...so theres always something u can do to help ur situation.
And well yeah i know i lend words to ur thoughts sometimes....its gr8 feelin when u say that to me, believe me. :)

Wel I read d 2 post of ur frnds..indeed these discrimnations & hypocrisy wl rule d natn alwyz n "d world suffers violence juz bcoz of of d silence of d pple". The world wud b such a better place 2 live if al dis r eradicted provided d pple pave way 4 it strange bt true itz v who discriminate n itz v d sme beings who cnt stand discrimation...
