Vacuuming the head into oblivion

Image
Have you ever felt the need to clean your head because it screamed ‘ overload ’ from disconcerting thoughts? I figured the best way to forcefully push all troubles to the ‘archives’ section is to shove yourself into immediate slumber. One such recent session later I realized that not only was I feeling a lot better, I could also see that my worries weren’t in fact as big as the Rock of Gibraltar and could be worked around if I tried. The eternal optimism that makes me ‘ me ’ always resurfaces with time. Image Credits: DeviantART -- Sent from my mobile device

Many Firsts - I

This is an interesting story. One that began to keep a promise I’d made to my sunshine long ago. Uh well, I was finally living away from home with a fair amount of independence and a lot of possibilities, I was earning my own money (Okay I was also broke and indebted to my own Dad but let’s not talk about that just now :P) and now was the time to keep my word. So I decided to utilize my optional holiday making the vday weekend a long one and go to Hyderabad. That’s not the interesting part; the interesting bit is about how I could not tell my folks that I was making the trip and how everything fell in place. Cut to 3rd Feb 2010 Sneha and I went to Thiruvanmiyur to book tickets; she was goin to Bangalore the next weekend. I finally managed to get an APSRTC bus ticket from Chennai to Hyd for the 11 th Feb, 8pm. Liberating, the one word which describes my feelings right then; I had never travelled alone, especially without the knowledge of my family. I remember I had to buy a ...

Happy Ganpati

Image
I just wanted to post what I did to celebrate today. Well thanks to Bonnie I found out ki aaj Ganesh Chaturthi hai and I was really happy so besides eating modak which we got yesterday, this is what I made... I got the tiny Ganeshji atop my "cellphone pillow" from school as a farewell memento. He usually sits on my table, but today I made him a lil comfortable :) And the rangoli is my early morning handiwork. :) PS: One of my cousins said that I'm becoming marathi day by day. I just smiled in response.

Window to the World

Image
Well when I first heard "Window" being the Le-Titre theme this month at Cuckoo's , I thought of the window sill in my room, then I thought of a nice french window overlooking a beautiful garden, and then I thought about a bigger window, something that can capture everything in its frame. Books! Books I believe really are the window to the world . You can see the whole world in em, places you haven't even been to. :) *smiles*

Chewy

Image
One lil orange gum and so many things to mull over... Ever looked at a cow when its chewin on grass, it looks like an endless process, something that's been in continuum for longer than you'd care to measure. Thats how I feel right now... I'm chewin gum and somehow my brain seems relaxed, flattened if u may. Every tongue stroke attempting to blow a bubble, every satisfied phrooph or a disappointing phuuss has associated with it a different thought, a different reason, a different word. Yellow Day

Image
Dunno if you guys have figured it out yet but here's the history again to refresh your memory. Happy Yellow Flower Anniversary everyone!! Its funny that it all started with a simple lil oleander that someone else picked for me. Makes me different from all the sane people around there coz I celebrate something silly like this but then I've never harbored any doubts about my insanity. :P Keepin with the tradition, I'm gonna wear yellow today, wish him (atleast try) and I just wished all of you :) Besides that this post has to have something yellow and something eight. So here we go: I forgot what this fish is called but she's beautiful right? I clicked this in SeaWorld, San Antonio And this is my newest friend Zooly the octopus. He's got eight legs :P Btw I must tell u that its hilarious to watch Zooly tryin to dance :D Love Always...
